Case study - Belgium Refillution Campaign

The Ecover Refillution animated campaign was created to engage shoppers and drive refill behavior. 'You can refill your Ecover bottle in this store'

 

The target audience for this campaign was primarily eco-focused customers, specifically, those who are concerned and are making changes to reduce the amount of plastic they throw away.

Objectives

- Increase brand awareness for product refilling stations and their range of cleaning products available for refills.

- Showcase that refilling is valuable & rewarding.

- Encourage viewers to look for the refill machines and drive refill behavior.

Concept and Creative Process:

The initial concept was to stay consistent with brand guidelines and create animations that are simple and bold that represent the brand style. Use vibrant, colorful, cutout collage 2D animation with engaging transitions.

 

The creative team brainstormed various scenarios and decided to focus on showcasing easy-to-digest tips for refilling through short animated visuals.

 Design and Animation:

- Visual Style: The visual style was designed to be vibrant and eye-catching.

Visual elements such as still images in a cutout style, texture, and repetition design were incorporated to grab the viewers' attention.

 

- Animation Techniques: 2D animation techniques were employed to bring the copy and still images actions to life. Smooth transitions and dynamic movements were used to maintain viewer engagement.

 Results and Impact:

Increased Brand Awareness: The campaign was shared and adapted to different languages for various supermarkets and transformed into ads for digital platforms.
